“For our momentary light affliction is producing for us an absolutely incomparable eternal weight of glory.
So we do not focus on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”
2 Corinthians 4:17-18 CSB
Life’s circumstances can tempt us to doubt God’s kindness, His goodness, faithfulness or even His power. Have you ever asked/thought or heard someone ask, “where is God”?.
We listen more to the challenges than we hope in God when we face challenges. But we are called to a life of Hope, which can be uncomfortable at times but the results is glorious if we remain steadfast and faithful.
When David faced a difficult situation, he prayed;
“My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me? Why are You so far from helping Me, And from the words of My groaning? O My God, I cry in the daytime, but You do not hear; And in the night season, and am not silent.
But You are holy, Enthroned in the praises of Israel.”
Psalms 22:1-3 NKJV
In the end he recognized who God is. He prayed to Him who is always faithful.
“In You our fathers trusted; They trusted and You delivered them. To
You they cried out and were delivered; In You they trusted and were not disappointed.”
Psalms 22:4-5 NASB
So when life gets tough, even when things don’t go your way, always remember that the end will be glorious because God is always good!
